More about Steffanie Casperson and the Ballet Teacher Workshop
Steffanie Casperson received full scholarships to train at the Harid Conservatory (in Florida), School of American Ballet (in NYC), and Pacific Northwest Ballet (in Seattle). She danced professionally with the Hartford Ballet and Ballet West, performing various roles in most of ballet's classics including Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Giselle, La Sylphide, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and Romeo and Juliet, as well as famous works by Balanchine including “Serenade” and “Who Cares” among many others. While still performing, Steffanie became heavily involved with Ballet West’s award winning “Ballet West for Children” - an education and outreach program, where she was able to share her love of ballet with thousands of students across the state of Utah.
Steffanie has continued her passion for ballet education: she has taught ballet for 13 years and her students have received scholarships to summer programs with Pacific Northwest Ballet, Ballet West, Boston Ballet, Houston Ballet, and San Francisco Ballet, received leading roles in local productions and placed in YAGP competitions, and have been chosen for year-round training with Boston Ballet, Ballet West, and University of Utah. She is the current director of Ballet Aligned, northern Utah's premier ballet school.
Ballet Aligned is offering this workshop to support current and aspiring ballet teachers in their efforts to improve the quality of their students' ballet dancing.
