What good can about 40 dancers, most of whom are new to their ballet studies, do for the world? A lot!
Our two shows of The Night Before Christmas raised $4,900 for Little Lambs Foundation, who provides comfort kits to children placed in emergency foster care, and serves over 2,000 families across the state with their diaper bank. And what kind of good does THAT do? Well…
A study of diaper need in the U.S. and Canada conducted by Huggies, revealed that mothers who experience diaper need were often short 11 to 12 diapers each week. Babies without clean diapers are exposed to more potential health risks & less likely accepted to daycares, leaving parents unable to attend work. Little Lambs distributes 60 diapers per child per month to fill in the gap in between paychecks. A donation or our size amounts to diaper assistance for 408 babies for FIVE WEEKS!!!
Our dancers are blessed to enjoy dance classes in addition to their academic endeavors, but some kiddos don’t even have the needed supplies to attend SCHOOL! Little Lambs also provides these students with back to school kits – everything they need to have a successful year in school. Our donation would equate to helping 200 CHILDREN receive these needed supplies!
