Custom Mini Sessions FAQ

What is the age/experience range?

Because these are classes YOU design, they are for dancers ages 3 and up and for all abilities! (Classes must have 4 dancers to be held. Ballet Aligned will have the final say on participants and class content. These are NOT private lessons.)

Can parents stay and watch?

For safety precautions during Covid, parents will not be invited to observe these classes. However, there is a foyer with windows into the studio if you need periodic verification that your student is okay.

What precautions related to Covid will the classes observe?

1) Classes will be 50 minutes long.
2) Students will hand-sanitize before and after class (and sanitizer will be available during class).
3) Class size will be limited to 8 households in attendance.
4) Masks should be brought and may be worn as teachers and students see fit (for periods within the class where distancing is difficult to maintain).
5) If any classes need to be missed due to illness, participants may receive a credit towards future classes offered by Ballet Aligned.

Who is teaching the Custom Mini Sessions?

Brianne Corbridge! If you have attended Cache Valley Civic Ballet performances, you know Brianne's face - she has performed as the Sugar Plum Fairy, the lead in Waltz of the Flowers, as a Fairy in Sleeping Beauty, and many other featured roles. Brianne was also accepted and will be attending University of Utah's ballet program this fall. She is a beautiful dancer and has completed 3 hours of teacher training to become an instructor with Ballet Aligned.

Are there refunds for missed classes? Can classes be pro-rated if we know there is one in the session my dancer will miss?

Because Custom Mini Sessions are designed to meet your needs, it is hoped families will be able to attend all  classes. Classes will not be prorated for any reason, nor are refunds offered. However, if you have any symptoms of illness, please email Ballet Aligned and you may be given credit for future Ballet Aligned programming.

What should my dancer wear?

Dance attire helps dancers move, as it is non-restrictive, and ballet shoes are best suited for studio floors - not too slippery, while still allowing dancers to spin and turn. If your dancer has tights, leotards, or ballet slippers, we encourage them to use them. However, this is a short class, and many dancers and parents are just deciding if they are interested in further ballet study. If you don’t have official ballet gear, please send your child in clothing that he or she can move easily in. (Leggings are nice for girls, boys do great in shorts and a t-shirt. Socks may be worn on the feet, and we may chose to remove them if we are doing steps that cause slipping concerns.)

How do I register for a Mini Session?

When you fill out the Mini Session Interest Form, we will contact you with an email to finalize scheduling and request payment at that time.
