The following is a note from Ted Chalfant, Founder of the Little Lambs Foundation, and reflects the cumulative impact The Night Before Christmas has had on the community, and specifically children and families. Thank you so much for checking in, and I’m thrilled to hear the video is almost ready. The Night Before Christmas production truly feels like a gift to our community each year, and we are incredibly honored to be part of something so special.
Yes, the total of $11,901 over the past four years sounds absolutely right. When I look at that number, what I really see are children who were comforted, families who felt less alone, and moments of dignity and care made possible because of Ballet Aligned and everyone who chose to attend the show.
Here’s some language you’re more than welcome to share with your audience about what their support has meant: Because of Ballet Aligned’s generosity, thousands of essential items have been placed directly into the hands of children and families in need across Cache Valley and throughout Utah. Gifts from this production help us provide comfort kits for children entering foster care, often at one of the most frightening moments of their lives, giving them hygiene items, pajamas, blankets, and something that feels like it belongs just to them. These funds also allow us to distribute thousands of diapers and wipes to families who are doing their very best but struggling to afford basic necessities. In addition, this support helps cover often unseen but vital needs, such as hygiene and period products, safe storage for donated supplies, and the behind-the-scenes infrastructure that allows Little Lambs to respond quickly when families need help most. Every ticket purchased truly becomes part of a child’s story of being seen, cared for, and supported.
Please let everyone who attended know how deeply grateful we are. Their decision to make this show part of their holiday tradition has created real, tangible good in the lives of children, and that impact continues long after the curtain closes.
We completely understand the increasing costs it takes to produce such a beautiful and professional show, and it means so much that you continue to give even as those expenses grow. Your hearts for both the arts and the community shine through in everything you do.
